In This Together provides grants to individual Mainers facing a wide range of unexpected financial hardships: from cancer or other medical diagnoses, to COVID-19 job losses, domestic violence, car accidents, and others. To date, we've provided $39,700 in grants to Mainers living across the state through our Personal Hardship Fund Program.
In This Together's Mission Statement: To inspire hope and strength in communities by providing financial support through charitable grants.
In This Together was founded by four women who met through our fundraising efforts for other nonprofits. We've all experienced the unexpected financial hardships caused by cancer diagnoses or the loss of family members, as well as the incredible sense of hope provided when our communities rallied around us in our most difficult times. We decided in 2018 to turn the difficulties we experienced into a nonprofit that has a direct, positive impact on people in similar situations. We were thrilled when In This Together became a nonprofit in 2019, enabling us to make our mission a reality. Because the staff and board of directors are all volunteers, we're able to give more of your donation directly to our neighbors in need.
