Maine Roots for In This Together showcases “famous faces” with meaningful connections to Maine, who support this non-profit.
Our hope is that you will join these inspirational people in our efforts to help Mainers in need.
Owners, Rugged Seas
Taylor, a local fisherman, and his wife, Nikki, were born and raised in Maine and founded Rugged Seas, a product clothing line that recycles the bibs from fishermen to make unique tote bags and clutches. They work hard with a handful of local companies to ensure their products are made in Maine, and a portion of all sales are donated to MCFA and MLCA to support our working waterfronts.
Four fisherman from the Portland, Maine, area lost their lives when their boat, the Emmy Rose, sank in November of 2020. Rugged Seas raised $60,000 for their families who received 100% of the proceeds.
